The Rob Roy Hotel is situated at the gateway to the Trossachs in the land where one of Scotland's most famous rogues 'Rob Roy McGregor' once roamed.

The Rob Roy is set within Scotland's first National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty with rugged hills and sparkling lochs, and virtually unlimited things to see and do.

Scotland is the home of golf and there are plenty of fantastic golfing 
opportunities nearby on courses of a variety of standards, but all guaranteeing quality golf with spectacular scenery.

And you don't need to go far to find one; Aberfoyle Golf Club is across the road, overlooked by the majestic Ben Lomond.

There are excellent fishing opportunities throughout the park, and the Lake of Mentieth, just minutes from the hotel, is a great place to start. The Lake is one of Scotlands most beautiful fisheries, with the tranquil ruins of Inchmahone Priory on one of the islands within. There are plenty more water-based activities nearby, from sailing on the 19th century Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine to white-water rafting.

And we have not even mentioned the legendary Loch Lomond...

For the Cyclists there are some fantastic mountain Biking Trails nearby, and the National Cycle Route, which can take you from Glasgow all the way to inverness, literally passes our back gate. If this whets your appetite there are countless trails nearby to suit novice and expert alike.

The Rob Roy Hotel is wonderfully situated in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and is set within Scotland’s first National Park. Named after the legendary local folk hero Rob Roy McGregor, The Rob Roy offers excellent food friendly staff, and good old fashioned value for money.
